for those who want to learn more about how the Seven Principles of Good
Practice can deepen their knowledge of good teaching practice.
“Instructors are generally motivated
to do an excellent job of teaching in an online environment but are not always
familiar with what strategies will be most successful in the online teaching
environment.”

CourseCheck: New Pathways for Engaging
Students was developed in response to recommendations of the OLN Task Force on Quality in Distance
Learning. From the report Quality
Learning in Ohio and at a Distance (PDF), "As Ohio continues to push forward
in e-learning, educators seek to better understand the criteria for course
quality and to apply the criteria to the design, development, and delivery of
content offered at a distance."
